Using Object Select and the Quick Select tool

- [Instructor] Photoshop has a number of selection tools that can help us to select objects in our images that have similar colors or similar tones or defined edges around them. I'm going to start with the New Object selection tool. I'll set the mode to rectangle. And I want to select these two pumpkins. When I click and drag out over them, however, I get a little bit of extra selection in between them. So Photoshop is thinking or believing because of how it's been trained using artificial intelligence that these are actually one object. Well, that's easy to solve. I can use the keyboard shortcut Command + D to de-select and then I can just drag over each one of these pumpkins individually. So I've dragged over one and then I'll hold down the Shift key and I'll drag over the other one and it will select both of those objects. But I really want the pumpkin head here to be selected.
