Using Object Selection and Quick Selection tools

- [Instructor] Photoshop has a number of selection tools that can help us select objects in the image based on the contents of the image and these tools include technology to detect color, tone and edges. So in this first image, I want to make a selection to the scarecrow's head and then to the pants and also to the jacket. I'm going to start by selecting the object select tool and I'm going to set the mode to rectangle. Now, if I drag this rectangle over this pumpkin, for example it will shrink wrap down and try to select the object. Now it might not be perfect every single time but I can always switch to the other tools in order to refine just that small portion of the edge. So let's move to the scarecrow's head and I'm going to click and drag a selection around it. It's a little bit more obvious that that's one subject but the great thing is that it also selected everything inside of it, including the eyes, nose, and mouth…
