Using the Oil Paint filter

- The oil paint filter is a great place to start if you want to quickly turn your photograph into a painting. In order to do this in a flexible and non-destructive manner I'll choose filter and convert for smart filters. Then I'll select filter and stylize and then oil paint. I'll zoom in using command plus once and then twice to see it a little bit larger, and let's take a look at some of the options. If I want to make the brush strokes smaller, I'll move the stylization to the left. If I move them to the right, they're going to be a lot longer. Then I can use the cleanliness slider, moving it to the left. I'm going to have more detailed and textured strokes. if I move it over to the right, they're going to be a lot longer and smoother strokes. The scale is going to be the size of the brush stroke. If I move it to the left, it'll get smaller, moving it to the right will get larger. And the bristle detail will control how much…
