Using the Quick Selection tool

- [Narrator] Since it's release the quick selection tool more often than not has become my go to tool for creating selections well, quickly. And although it doesn't work for every situation it's worth a try because when it works, it works quite well. Now the quick selection tool is going to be found up here in your tools panel, depending on the last tool you used it may be hidden underneath the magic wand tool.But when you choose the quick selection tool your going to notice up here in the options bar that there really are not many options to choose from. And so it's important to understand, as I pointed out in a previous video, that the quick selection tool works off of a brushed tip. So I can change my brush size and adjust it accordingly, as well as the hardness. And basically the quick selection tool looks for contrast edges, so it tends to work best when you have at least a fair amount of contrast between your subject and its background.
