Using the Simplify command

[Instructor] All right, now, as you might imagine, not all of Photoshop's custom shapes are created equally. Some of them appear to be hand-drawn, but others are obviously derived from pixel-based images, using Illustrator's automated image trace function, which is actually a great feature, but when applied to low resolution images, you get jagged results. But that's not necessarily a problem, because we can take those jagged path outlines and smooth them over using Illustrator's Simplify function. And so here I am inside Photoshop, by the way. And so I'll go up to the Window menu and drop down to the Shapes command in order to bring up the shapes panel. And then notice this group right here, Leafless Trees. I'll go ahead and twirl it open by clicking on that triangle there. And just get a load of these guys. Don't you want every single one of these path outlines to work out perfectly?
