Using Smart Objects instead of adjustment layers

- [Instructor] While adjustment layers are very useful when you've already opened up your images as pixel-based layers and need to make adjustments. If you have the option to open your raw files into Photoshop as smart objects, then you can make tonal and color adjustments and maintain the highest quality possible. Now in this example, we're going to open two images to make a composite, but you could also use this technique to open the same image if you've processed it out differently and then blend it together. So we'll start by opening a new document, I'll click create new, I want it to be 2000 by 3000 pixels, 300 pixels per inch in 16-bit Adobe RGB. (mouse clicks) Then I'm going to return to bridge where I've got these two raw files selected.
