- [Instructor] All right, now let's take a look at the smoothing value up here in the options bar which automatically smooths out your brush strokes. So you may not have even noticed this but your brush strokes should be smoother today than they were a few years ago thanks to the introduction of this option. Now I want you to notice that I've gone ahead and reset the roundness value to 100%, my size is 40 pixels, the hardness is 100% and so I'll just go ahead and dismiss that panel. And I will take the smoothing value down to its minimum of 0%, thank you very much. Which is the way that it used to be in the old days. Now I don't want to harm my original eclipse image so I'll press control+shift+n or command+shift+n on the Mac to bring up the new layer dialogue box.
