Using the Spot Healing Brush
- [Deke] All right, now we're going to move from cloning-based healing to content-aware Healing in the form of the Spot Healing Brush. All right, so here I am, looking at a photograph from the Dreamstime image library, and I'm going to go ahead and click on the Flat Background here inside the Layers panel, and because I want my healing to be nondestructive, I'll create a new layer by Alt or Option-clicking on the little Plus icon down there at the bottom of the Layers panel, and I'll call this layer Retouch, and then, I'll click OK. All right, now, I'm going to switch from the Patch tool to the Standard Healing Brush tool just so that I can show you the real difference between this tool and the Spot Healing Brush. And so, I'll go ahead and choose that second tool, and I'll zoom in on this guy's face, and I want to reduce the size of the cursor, so I'll press the left bracket key a few times in order to make that so.
