- [Instructor] When collaborating with others, I'm often asked to present multiple different versions of a document for approval. But instead of making a number of duplicates of the image, I find I easier to keep track of different variations within a single document using layer comps. So we're going to take a look at three items that can be saved as part of a layer comp. The visibility of a layer, the position of the layer, and the appearance of a layer. I'm going to start by selecting the color fill layer down here and then adding a second one by choosing Solid Color. I'll choose a blue color, I just copied and pasted in the hex value there, and then click OK. So now I have two different backgrounds that we can choose from. I also want an option that has just a red stroke. So I'll choose my bottom images layer group and the top images layer group, and from the Styles panel, I'll click to add a stroke to those.
