- [Deke] Alright, now we're going to take a look at a new command under the View menu called Pattern Preview which allows you to preview whether your tile pattern repeats seamlessly. And incidentally, if you're interested in how I created this pattern, you can check out Deke's Techniques 481: The seamlessly repeating candy cane pattern from the garish year 2015. Alright, we're going to start off inside this document which contains a couple of vector based live shapes that I created using the new and improved line tool here inside Photoshop 2021. Now I want to turn this into a repeating tile pattern. So I'll go up to the Edit menu and choose Define Pattern. And then I'll go ahead and name this new pattern Bad Candy 'cause as you'll see it does not repeat seamlessly. And then I'll go ahead and click okay.
