- [Instructor] Alright, now we need to finesse the mask using a combination of the brush and smudge tools. And along the way, I'll show you how to view the mask and the image at the same time. Alright so I'm gonna zoom in here and obviously, by the way, I'm looking at the better hair channel here inside the channels panel. And I'm gonna go ahead and select the brush tool, which you can get by pressing the B key. And I'll right click inside the image window and I'll confirm that my hardness value is set to 100%, which in my case it is. All right, so I'll just go ahead and press the enter key to dismiss that panel and then I'll increase the size of mu cursor by pressing the right bracket key a few times. Notice that my foreground and background colors are kinda messed up, so I'll press the D key in order to instate the default colors and then I'll press the x key to swap 'em so I can paint with black.
