- [Sean] Adobe Photoshop is not primarily a video compositing or effects program, but, for some projects, you may be able to apply what you already know to complete your video project rather than trying to learn a more advanced program, like Adobe After Effects. By combining Photoshop's video editing capabilities with techniques for layering, masking, and compositing still images, you can create intriguing and eye-catching video composites that can be used to enhance a variety of projects, from motion graphics and narrative stories to visually rich fictional locations and fine art motion composites. In my LinkedIn Learning course, I'll show you how you can leverage the Photoshop skills you already have for working with layers, masking, and image blending and apply them to video projects. Along the way, we'll work with composites created from existing stills and video, as well as projects based on shooting images and video in order to create a specific composite effect. We'll also discuss why you might use Photoshop to create a video composite and when you might need to move to a more robust video effects program.
