What you should know before watching this course and exercise files

- In order to get the most out of this class it would be helpful if you have a basic understanding of digital imaging. We're going to use Adobe Photoshop as our hub for much of this course but by no means do you need to be a Photoshop expert or even use Photoshop. Most of the tools we're going to discuss are available as standalone applications or as plugins to multiple products. What we're looking for here is that you feel comfortable working with digital images, that you're familiar with things like opening files, closing, saving, zooming in to check details. If you are, then this class will be much more useful to you. But in any case, it's an overview of the technology. We'll explore general concepts as well as specific tools within these different applications and plugins. You don't need to have all of these or even any of them to start. You can watch this course and learn quite a bit about what's available and then decide how you want to take action. But I do encourage you to download these tools, including the demo versions, so you can try them all out. Each of these AI tools bears slightly different results and you might prefer one over another. There is some unique features in each of them as well as a little bit of overlap. So which one you choose or multiple ones that you choose are really a personal choice. So I would encourage you to go ahead and download the exercise files as well as consider downloading the current demo versions of the products that we're going to discuss in this course. This includes those products available from Skylum, Luminar, and Aurora as well as perfectly clear available from IQ or Athentech, the AI Suite from Topaz Labs, and a current version of Photoshop.
