Why edit video in Photoshop?

- The topic of this chapter is video editing, which I realize sounds absurd. I mean, who in the world would edit video inside Photoshop? The answer, I'm guessing, is you. I already knew it was me, especially if you shoot movies with your smartphone, Micro Four Thirds, DSLR, that is to say the same devices that you already use to capture still images, then Photoshop makes for an easy transition. There you are, already working away in the program that you know and love. All you have to do is bring up the timeline panel at the bottom of the screen and away you go. Now I'm not suggesting Photoshop is a pro-level video editor. Apple's Final Cut and Adobe's Premiere Pro remain tops, but Photoshop is surprisingly capable. You import clips, set start and end points, overlay multiple tracks, and insert transitions. You can add text overlays, adjustment layers, and audio tracks.
