- [Instructor] In this movie, I'm going to show you how to use the Oil Paint filter and suggest a few techniques for applying the Oil Paint filter with a bit more consideration than just choosing it from the menu and then declaring your work done. So I'm going to start here and I want to, first of all, convert my background layer to a smart object. And then I'm going to come to my Filter menu, Stylize, and to Oil Paint. There was a time when Oil Paint wasn't around. It was around, then it was gone and now, it's back thankfully. Now, you can experiment with these options to your liking. You can change the size of this window here or you can reposition your image within this window to see a preview within that window. You can also see a preview on the whole image when your Preview box is checked. The important point I want to make here is that regardless of specifically what settings you use, you'll probably want to be painting with more brittle detail in the foreground than you would…
