Working with Global Light

- [Instructor] In this movie, I'll show you how to work with global light, inside of Photoshop. And what it is, is a method for keeping all of your directional effects in agreement with each other. So in other words, you have a common light source, that is lighting the raised letters just like the recessed ones. And so to see what global light looks like, go ahead and double click on any of these directional effects, which include, by the way, the drop shadow, the inner shadow and, as we'll see in a future movie, bevel and emboss. I'm just going to double click on inner shadow, and that will bring up once again, the layer style dialog box. And notice, in addition to this angle value right there, there's this check box that reads "Use Global Light." that's turned on for all of our effects currently and it's turned on by default. So what it means is, if I change this angle value, either by dragging inside this little angle widget, or by changing the angle value, you can see that the…
