Working with Opacity and blend modes

- [Instructor] In this movie, we're going to blend the wings in with the horse, using a Blend Mode, and we're also going to paint away this extra wing, as well as the crane's legs, using a Clipped Brushstroke Layer. So, the first thing I'm going to do is zoom in a little bit, so that we can see the crane up close and personal. And notice, near the top of the Layers panel, we have this pop up menu, that, by default, is set to Normal, and we have an Opacity option. And notice that, by default, Opacity is set to 100 percent, so that the layer is 100 percent opaque. I'm going to go ahead and switch to the Wing number one layer right there, and I'm going to reduce the opacity by clicking on this down pointing arrow head, in which case I get this slider. And then I'll go ahead and drag the slider triangle to the left, in order to reduce the opacity of the layer, in which case it becomes translucent. You also have the option of scrubbing directly on the opacity value. So, if I scrub to the…
