Working with layers
- [Instructor] Layers were the best thing ever added to Photoshop, and honestly, we couldn't do the work that we do in Photoshop without them, but layers can sometimes be an exercise in futility because you're constantly adjusting their order and changing their names. This just comes with the territory. However, I'd like to show you a few tricks that can make working with layers just a bit easier. So I have the Two Trees.psd file open, and you can see that down here in my layers panel, and if you're not seeing the layers panel, just go to the window menu and choose layers. You'll see that I already have several layers, okay. Now one of the things I want to show you is that when you click on a layer, when you choose the new layer button here, it'll basically just create a new blank layer above the current layer, and that's often okay, right?
