A brief Magic Wand refresher
- [Instructor] All right now because the Color Range command was originally designed as a kind of replacement for the Magic Wand tool, I'm gonna start things off with a refresher as to exactly how the Magic Wand works. Now if you don't wanna hear about the wand, I totally get it, go ahead and skip to the next movie, but I will tell, I think even advanced users are gonna find this information to be very helpful. All right so if you're working along with me, notice that I have this vertical guide running down the center of the image. If you're not seeing that guide then just go ahead and press the keyboard shortcut, Control + semicolon on the PC, or Command + semicolon on the Mac. Next I'll go ahead and click and hold on the Quick Selection tool right here and then I'll switch to the Magic Wand tool. And just to make sure that I'm seeing the default settings, I'll go ahead and right-click on the Tools icon on the far left side of the Options bar and I'll choose Reset Tool. All right so…
