- [Instructor] In this particular chapter, having already looked at the options that are common to all, or at least most operating modes on the VRayLight, what we want to do now is focus on the few that are a little more exclusive. In other words, options that appear for only one or at the most two operating modes of the light. Specifically in this video, we will be taking a look at the directional controls that can be found in the rectangle/disc light rollout that only becomes available when the light is operating in either plane or disc mode. As we already have a plane light set up, let's go ahead with it selected of course and jump into the rectangle disc light rollout. Now by default, the preview option which essentially gives us a visual representation in the 3ds max viewport of the light spread that we are getting is turned off or set to never.
