- [Instructor] The next set of exclusive controls that we will take a look at in this chapter are those that belong to the dome light. And so let's go ahead and add one of those in our top viewport from the V-Ray toolbar. And then after right-clicking to exit create mode, go ahead and jump into the dome light rollout over in the command panel. Now, the first option that we have access to here, spherical or full dome essentially causes the dome light when enabled, to cover the entire scene, creating a virtual lights sphere that is wrapped around our whole environment. Now, despite what the V-Ray help file says, on a not off is set as the default these days. And of course, once we do turn that off, the illumination coming from the light will now be emitted from just a hemisphere or dome of light in the scene.
