The real purpose of the White Balance tool
- [Instructor] All right, now before I wrap things up, I want to make sure that I share with you the real intended purpose for the white balance tool inside camera raw, which is for studio portraits that include a white or gray balance card. So notice this snapshot here, just captured with an iPhone, so it's not actually a portrait-quality shot, but it does feature me on set along with an X-Rite color checker, which is something of an industry standard, and notice that it includes a row of neutral gray values. And so if I were to open it inside Camera Raw, which I can do from the full screen preview in bridge just by tapping the R key. You don't have to tap the Control key, and then I can get to the White Balance Tool just by pressing and holding the Shift key. Notice that.
