Use issues to track near misses

- [Instructor] When I talk about tracking near misses, I'm talking about getting people to report everything they see that's an incident or an action that could have resulted in an injury or property damage but didn't. This is not the same as reporting on an actual injury, so I want to be clear on that here for this particular video. When I talk about tracking near misses, I would like to see absolutely everything reported. It doesn't have to be a major event. I want things like leaning too far over on a ladder reported. Bear in mind too that I think many of these items are resolved in the field immediately and they don't need any follow up but I still want them reported. Now, why report it if it's resolved and doesn't need follow? Because when near misses begin to accumulate, no matter how minor they are, it will eventually result in an injury to somebody and that's what I want to avoid.
