Capturing the last photo moments at bedtime
- [Photographer] Part of capturing families in their homes is capturing their traditions and their routines. When Dana mentioned that every night Marco had a bath and Leo loved to help, we jumped on the chance to document that for them. Having a bath that they normally used in their bathroom, we decided to change it up and see how he would do in the kitchen sink, just to add a little bit different look on things and then let the whole family crowd around as well. Removing a few distractions is key. Looking at the scene I noticed the coffee pot was behind them, some glasses on the counter, things of that sort. So we wanted to make sure to move those out of the way so the focus was on their family. I found the lighting in the kitchen to be excellent at that time of day. The kitchen sink set up was right in front of a window and the sun was setting streaming in, which really warmed up the scene.
