Looking at some basic Lightroom post tips
- After a shoot, I like to come home and import my cards as quickly as possible. I use Lightroom, there are a lot of other programs you can use, Bridge, ACR, to name a couple. But I want to have those images off the cards and some place safe. I also back them up to another source. In Lightroom you'll be able to see when you do import that you can import to two locations. I do choose another hard drive, and in the make a second copy to area, I call it import backup, and that's something that I always have, just so that I have a second copy of them somewhere safe. Once my card is imported, I will remove it and then start culling through the images. Culling can take hours or it can take an hour, or it can take a little bit less than that. It completely depends on how many shots you have, how many cards you have, and how many different setups you have in your shoot.
