Pre-photo shoot workflow tips
- After the initial client contact, a few other things happen before you actually go on the photo shoot and take your photos. One of the things that I talk to my clients about is planning their session, finding out the best times, the best dates, the best locations, as well as a little bit more about their family, and I do that either by phone or by using e-mail as well. Some clients prefer to have e-mail communications in which case I rely a lot on a program that helps studio management as well as the client communications, as I'll show you. There are few out there, different programs. The one I currently use is called Iris, and it's a studio management program. There's also 17hats, and you can also do what I used to do which was rely on Outlook, or e-mails, and Excel worksheets and things like this. I just had a little bit of extra volume and so I decided to work with one of these studio management softwares and see how it could help me, as well as help me get the information needed…
