- So the second day of shooting on this circus project was successful, but completely exhausting. We were lucky enough to be able to photograph six different individuals, which is extremely important for me because if we didn't have enough characters in this story, it wouldn't be a story, it would just be a collection of portraits. By having enough characters now from yesterday and then also today, I think I really have a story. What's also starting to happen is visually the project got a lot darker. Even without looking at the individual images on the bed here, you can see that the whole project is kind of all in shadows almost at this point. Yesterday, when I was looking at the pictures before I went to bed, I was thinking, you know, I like what I've got going on here, I like the style, but it doesn't have that cinematic contrasty spotlight, ringmaster look that I wanted.
