- Now, we've found this great little spot here. Here, why don't we set the blanket down, right about right here. The reason we selected this spot was because we've got some elements of the trees behind, so it's not just a nice backlit spot, it's got some texture with the plants behind, more than just one lone tree in a spot of shade with a big bright swath behind. We'll get some elements of the vineyard, some trees. Especially since we're shooting with a wider angle lens, we'll get the elements of the environment that will not be fully blurred out. If I was shooting with a longer portrait lens, the background wouldn't matter as much. But since I chose the 35 millimeter lens to shoot him with, some of the background will be in focus while I'm shooting him. When I'm shooting babies, I get down really, really, low and I interact with him. Hey, Sam. So, I'm shooting with a really wide-angle lens right now. It's at 17 millimeters.
