Adding currency types
- [Instructor] When we originally created our currency field, it was automatically configured to show three decimal places and to display the currency in US dollars. We've already looked at how to address the decimal issue, but why dollars? And can we modify that or create alternative currencies? The currency type is actually defined long before you get to the business process flows or even to the Dataverse for that matter. I mentioned earlier in the course that environments have a geographical component. When you create a new environment, you specify where it is by country. This globally defines all currency data types in the environment. The bad news is that this cannot be changed once the environment has been created. The good news is that it's possible to add other currency types to the environment and set them up as alternatives or even deactivate the default type.
