- [Instructor] This course is aimed at anyone who wants to build reports in Power BI's cloud service. You don't need to have used Power BI before, but it would be helpful if you've used Excel to build charts or similar, so you have a basic understanding with data. You don't need to have bought a Power BI license to follow along this course, as you can use a free trial Pro license, which should easily last long enough to complete the course. This course has a particular focus on design, the visual side of report building then, page layout, and choice of visual, and we will be focusing on these design aspects more than on data and DAX formally, for example. We will be importing test data into Power BI and using it to build our visuals and reports. Now, there are two versions of Power BI, Desktop and Service, and it's important that you know that this course will focus on Power BI Service, although most of the instructions that we follow would work in Desktop too.
