Adding a header and footer
From the course: PowerPoint 2016 Essential Training
Adding a header and footer
- You can easily add a footer such as copyright or the word confidential to the bottom of all your slides. If your printing handouts which I'll go over later, you can also add a header, such as the presentation title. To add a footer, change to the insert ribbon tab and click header and footer. On the header and footer dialog box you can make some choices about what you want to include on that footer. For example, if I want to include on the slide the date and the time. I can place a check box next to date and time and then I need to make a decision whether it's going to update automatically, that is with the current date when the presentation is given , or a fixed date, such as when the presentation was created. If you choose to have it be updated automatically, you can change between some different formats as to how you want it to appear on the slide itself. Note that when I choose to insert the date and time on the right hand side I can see a preview of where its going to put that…
