- [Instructor] Let's take a look at applying slide transitions. For the MOS exam you'll want to know how to insert slide transitions, and how to set transition effect options. So I've opened 05_01 Hotel from the Exercise Files folder, and we'll start out by looking at slide transitions. Transitions allow you to control the way that slides appear and disappear as you navigate through a presentation. In PowerPoint 2016, there's a Transitions tab on the ribbon, and this contains an entire gallery devoted to transitions. You can see several of the transitions or click the More arrow to see more of the transitions. They're divided into three different categories, Subtle, Exciting, and Dynamic Content. You can certainly continue to work in Normal view as we have been as you apply transitions, but I really prefer to work in Slide Sorter view.
