Create and format charts
- [Instructor] If you're doing a business presentation it's hard to get away without doing any charts. But you can create those right in PowerPoint. You can also input one that you already have from Excel. Let's do both so you can see how they work. I have a blank slide and now I'll change to the insert ribbon tab and choose chart. I have a long list of charts I can choose from, such as column, line charts, bar charts, area charts even great map charts. I'm going to choose a pie chart. Now each chart has it's own sub type of chart that I can choose from also. I'll choose this 3D pie chart and click the okay button. It's going to bring up a mini Excel window. I can click my mouse right inside Excel and start typing to populate my own data. While I'm typing, you'll notice that the pie chart updates itself on the fly. When I'm done, I can click the x in the top right in the Excel window to get back to my chart. From here, I have some chart options. I have a new ribbon tab called chart…
