Creating and formatting charts

- Charts can be a big part of any presentation. Like I showed you with tables in a previous video you can either use one you already have from Excel, or you can create one manually on the fly right in PowerPoint. Let's do both so you can see how they work and you can make a decision. I'll create a new slide, I'll choose Title and Content. I'll give my slide a title and now I'll choose to insert a chart from the Content placeholder. I have a long list of charts I can choose from, such as column, line charts, bar charts, area charts. Each chart has its own sub-type of chart that I can choose from also. I'll choose a chart and click the OK button. It's going to bring up a little mini Excel window. I can click my mouse inside Excel and start typing to populate the data. When I'm done, I can click the x and I'm brought into my chart. I can click on Chart Title and give it a new name.
