Creating shapes
- [Instructor] In this video, we'll be working with PowerPoint Shapes on a project that might pop up in a health class, The Food Pyramid. You can see the finished product here and one of the first steps to recreating it is making an actual pyramid complete with levels. So we're going to demo that with both Shapes and SmartArt. Let's start with Shapes. We'll begin with a blank slide. Then go onto the Insert tab and choose Shapes. We're going to pick the triangle shape which is going to provide a starter template. Add the shape to the slide and then we'll extend its basic demonstrations until we have something that approximates the size we need. This is going to provide a handy frame when building in the rest of our pyramid. Next, we're going to choose the trapezoid shape, which will provide the first layer. Trapezoid can be found here under Basic Shapes and we'll add it to the slide. Now we don't want to lose this in our starter shape, so we're going to recolor it here, adjust this…
