- [Instructor] Sometimes you're in a teaching situation where you'd like a video right there on the slide. This is called embedding media, and there are several ways to accomplish it. To embed a video from the internet, begin on the slide where you'd like to host the video, and then head over to the Insert tab of the PowerPoint ribbon. Next, head to the media group, which is here on the right hand side. If you select Video, and then Online Video, it pulls up a dialog window. Here, you can paste the embed code to the video itself if you've got it, or you can search YouTube directly. For the purposes of this illustration, we'll run a search on LinkedIn Web Coding Tutorial, the kind of thing that might be used in a computer class. When we hit Return, it generates a list of options. Pick the one you'd like, and then select Insert, which will add it to the slide.
