Format and add effects to objects

- [Instructor] In PowerPoint, anything is an object, an image, a shape, even text. You can format all of that. Let's take this text. Because this was part of a text box, a format tab appears. I can format the text box using the shape fill, outline and shape effects tools. The shape effects tools give me things like presets for 3D effects, softening edges, glow effects, et cetera. For text, I can change the fill color, I can also add text effects, and I can also use word art styles. You can also do a lot of work with images. Let's add this background image onto a new slide. I'm going to add it again, except this time, I'm going to make it much darker and put text over it. I'll insert a new slide. Change to the design ribbon tab, click format background, I'll click picture or texture fill, I'll choose to insert a picture from a file, I'll browse to my assets folder and pick the same photo again. I do need to fix that offset because I want it to match completely. So I'll set it to zero…
