Position and crop 3D models like a pro
- In this next movie, we're going to be learning how to expertly position our 3D objects to fit just about any space, like this fish tank, here. If you'd like to follow along with me, go grab this exercise file, 02-03-Position3D, located in this chapter's exercise file folder. But the first thing we're going to need to get are some fish. So, let's go up to our Insert tab, and click on the 3D Model button, here, and in this Animated Animals group, click on that, and the very first animated animals 3D object? There's some tropical fish. So, clicking on that and then clicking the Insert button, that is going to download our fish 3D model, and place that in the center of our slide. Now, the first thing that people usually do when they go to try to position or resize a 3D model is to grab hold of one of these corners and drag it out until the fish get to be about the right size that they want, which can make the frame of our 3D model quite big.
