- Over the last couple of years, Microsoft Office has been getting smarter with a set of tools they call Microsoft Intelligent Services. The official name for all of Microsoft Artificial Intelligence features. The first time you use Office, Microsoft Intelligent services will more than likely be turned off. So, if you go to use any feature in Office requiring these services, like Translate for example. You will be prompted to turn them on and therefor grant them permission to Microsoft to collect search terms and certain document content. Now if you want to know exactly what information Microsoft is collecting, through their various Office services, you can click on this privacy statement link. At the bottom of any Intelligent Services messages or from within power point, just go up to the file menu, all the way down to options and on that general tab underneath the Office Intelligent Services area.
