Using z-order (layering)

- [Instructor] Part of creating sophisticated slides in PowerPoint 365 involves layering or identifying which objects should go in front of or behind other objects. Technically this is known as Z-ordering which is a reference to the z-axis of a slide indicating depth. As you can see, here on this slide I've already placed several objects which include a shape, a graphic, a text box and an image to use as the background. Right now though these objects overlap ineffectively with the table cloth image covering the other slide objects, for example. To adjust this, just select the object you want to manipulate and in this case, we're going to choose Send to Back. This will send the object to the very back of the slide, layering the other objects on top of it and making it much easier to manipulate in the slide itself. As you probably saw, there are Z-order options other than just Send to Back. I'm going to zoom in here a little bit and then we'll select this object here, the small graphic…
