- [Instructor] This course discusses PowerPoint in the college classroom, and so of course, it features PowerPoint heavily. However, it isn't a course about the procedural side of how to use PowerPoint. In other words, we won't be talking about how to actually accomplish fundamental PowerPoint tasks like changing a slide background, working with a template, inserting an image, or manipulating a text box. That content is covered elsewhere in the library, and frankly, knowing all the nuts and bolts isn't actually necessary to get what you need out of this course. That's because we'll be talking about the impact of these choices, moving beyond the discussion of how in PowerPoint, and instead focusing attention on the why. We're not going to talk about the process of building a presentation, in other words, but instead, we'll focus on the purpose of that presentation, and the impact you hope it will have on your students.
