3D camera tracking
- [Instructor] In this movie, we're going to look at performing a 3D camera track in After Effects on 360 footage in order to place some text in the scene roughly around where my mouse is right now. If you're following along with the exercise files included with the premium membership, you could add to your Chapter 4 folder, and double your Chapter 4_9 composition. The first thing that we want to do is orient our scene to the area we'd like to track, which happens to be the area right here in my scene. I'm going to move my playhead throughout. And I want that little circular mirror-type thing to be more central in the scene for the majority of this track. Under my Affects and Presets, I'll head to the Immersive Video section, and apply a VR Rotate Sphere effect to this clip. Halfway in the clip, at about the 16-frame mark I will hand this clip over here to the side, and using the tilt, just a little bit, try to center that a bit more.
