Adding custom metadata
- As you work with metadata from time to time, you may find that you want to make some custom data. Perhaps there's a project code system that you use at your office or maybe you have a client ID system with certain numbers for each client. You can choose to embed that information right into the media, which is great because later on when you start to search for things, you can search by some of this internal systems that you've built. To do this is really quite simple. Just right-click on the Metadata column and bring up Metadata Display. You now can add custom properties. If I click add property, a new dialog comes up. Now what you can do is add a new type of system. So I can call this Client Code and under Type, I specify what I want to do. You'll notice here that you can apply this as a number, as text or with logic, a Boolean type code. I'm going to go with Integer here and click Okay.
