- [Teacher] Earlier you learned about the vignette adjustment to add a stylized border. The ability to lighten or darken the edge, however the vignette effect in lumetri really only supports making an ellipse or a rectangular shape with feathering. But through the use of blending modes, you can go a lot further and make a custom vignette. Let's open up our next example sequence 10.3. And if you take a look at the second instance of the clip here, let's drag through. What's happening in this case is that the adjustment layer is being used to affect the shot darkening certain sections. Well if we take a look at that, and load that adjustment layer up, and examine its effects, you'll see what's happening. Using two instances of the lumetri color effect we're able to make adjustments. On top of that, we can also use blending modes as well. Let's try this out.
