- When you work with a LUT, there is a section called filmic and this allows us to affect a little bit more about the overall tonality and how the LUT is applied. Let's take a look at the filmic qualities here. If we look at these two clips, you see a definite change between them. Let's explore. Back here under creative, I see that a particular look has been applied. But I want to do is really manipulate this a bit. Typically speaking, there are a few ways to go about this. If you take a look, you see that the LUT has been applied and the faded film look has been modified. Additionally, some of the contrast has been affected. So let's play with this. Using the global contrast slider here, I can increase the range. I'd also suggest that you play with a general curve and a typical thing that's appeared in most filmic images is an S curve.
