- LUT, L U T, is for lookup table. And if you're not familiar with LUTs, they are preset color correction settings that are applied to footage that is shot in a log format, or a different format, that makes it look flat to the eye. So, this is footage that's shot, in the case of log, based on a mathematic formula, so that you have maximum leeway for color correction, but it's not exposed for the eyes. So the appearance of the raw footage can look kind of flat, or lacking in contrast. So, Adobe Media Encoder allows you to add a LUT right in the program. And I wanna show you how to do that. Here I am in Adobe Media Encoder, and I have a piece of footage that was shot in a log format on the C300. So if I click into my export settings here, we see that the footage has a bit of a flat look to it. It's lacking in saturation, and sort of has a flat contrast profile. In my effects tab, and this is alongside the video, audio, and publish tabs, I have an option for a Lumetri/LUT to be applied…
