Applying a creative Look
- Once you've got the basics down, it's okay to move on to creative color grading. Now earlier I mentioned that some users decide to put these on as separate effects. For the rest of this exercise, I'm going to work within just the sequence but feel free if you want to split these effects into a separate layer or a second effect if you prefer that workflow. Let's go over to the project panel and open up 03_01. Additionally I'll click down here and choose to close the other timeline panels just to clean things up a bit. I'll press the backslash key and you'll see two instances of the clip. The first and a second clip. The different between these two shots is that the second one feels a little bit more desert like to me. Let's take a look at this. Up here under the basic controls, I'm just going to click Auto and pull down the blacks a little bit more for some extra contrast. I'll flip over to my scopes here and I really see what's happening.
