- Most of the time, I will suggest not to compress audio. When compared to video, audio is so small that it wouldn't save you much to compress it. Obviously, compressed audio will make the file size smaller, but when compared to video, audio file size is so very small. So why not just leave it uncompressed? Well, let's see what the different audio options are with different formats and codecs. Options are available in the audio tab and depending on the format and codec that you use, some of those choices will change. Let's go ahead and open the sequence named 2.4 audio in the Premiere Pro project. So in sequences chapter two, 2.4 audio, double click it and it opens in the timeline.
