Automatic audio adjustments and ducking

- [Instructor] One of the new features in this version of Premiere Pro is the ability to auto duck your audio. Let's take a look at what this means. Audio ducking is a technique where the software automatically sets key frames for you in the timeline based on criteria that you set. So in this example here, this is sort of a partial sequence of what we've been working with. We know that we go through the Audio Editing Workflow, in terms of setting the correct levels on our dialogue. We then mix our ambient audio and our music accordingly, and then we would probably set key frames in our music, so that it was a little bit louder when there was no competing dialogue, and then it would dip or duck while there was dialogue. Okay, so in this case we have this section here where we have just music and no competing dialogue, and then here, and then here, okay? So all of that can of course be done manually. We've already gone through how to do all of this manually so far in this chapter. But…
