Automatically update audio devices - Premiere Pro Tutorial
From the course: Premiere Pro 2021 New Features
Automatically update audio devices
- [Instructor] This next update is just for macOS users. And it makes it easier for your system to react to changes in audio hardware. If a change is detected, it's possible for Premiere Pro to dynamically update when new audio hardware is selected. This, again, is a macOS change only at this time. What you'll want to do is use the System Default option in your Audio Hardware settings. This will then react to whatever happens in the operating system. So if new devices are plugged in or become available, they'll become available in Premiere Pro. This is perfect if you find yourself using multiple devices, such as connecting a pair of AirPods where you open up the case and then want your AirPods to connect and automatically work for monitoring, or if you plug in a USB microphone for a scratch track. You can configure these separately for both input and output. If you've done this, it'll make it simpler for the desktop apps…
